TORONTO - HU’s Ruth Gavison in Conversation about Current Affairs in Israel

Dear Friends of CFHU,
Canadian Friends of Hebrew University is delighted to invite you to the next event in our Toronto series featuring Israelis who are leaders in their respective fields. (The photos above are from our most recent event on Sept. 20 with Moshe Kepten, Israel’s top theatre director).

Prof. Ruth GavisonOn October 11, we will host Hebrew University law professor Ruth Gavison for an informative and thought-provoking discussion on topical issues in Israel.
A former nominee for Israel’s Supreme Court, Prof. Gavison is a leading scholar in the field of law and society and a pioneer in the struggle for civil rights in Israel. She is the recipient of numerous awards for her work, including the prestigious Israel Prize. Her areas of expertise include ethnic conflict, the protection of minorities, religion and politics and Israel as a Jewish and democratic state.
Prof. Gavison will make introductory remarks about current affairs in Israel including the recently passed and highly controversial “Nation State Law” and other related issues. There will then be a Q&A with her followed by questions from the audience.
