WINNIPEG - Community Ambassadors Hold Israeli Culinary Workshop - October 25, 2016
In an event held Tuesday, October 25, 2016, CFHU Community Ambassadors to Winnipeg, Sigal Kleynerman and Shai Josopov, gathered a group of outstanding young professionals and local Hebrew University alumni for a unique culinary event, celebrating the flavours of the Israeli kitchen. The event was carried out in collaboration with "Puzzle Israel" co-founders and chefs, Nir Margalith and Guy Marom, who treated the crowd to a one-of-a-kind Israeli cooking workshop. During the event, which was held at the home of Baillie and Daniel Chisick, two exceptional young professionals from the Winnipeg Jewish community, guests learned about multiple famous Israeli dishes, while hearing first-hand about the Hebrew University's groundbreaking and innovative work. In addition, the ambassadors, with the help of local lay leader Dr. Robin Gertenstein and CFHU Executive Director of Western Canada, Dina Wachtel, introduced the crowd to their new roles in the community, as part of the organization's current efforts to strengthen the significant relationship between the Hebrew University and the Winnipeg Jewish community. The event marked the initiation of various future events and programs the new Community Ambassadors are planning for the Winnipeg community.
