TORONTO – CFHU Receives Building Bridges Award from Israeli Consulate at Yom Ha’atzmaut Celebration – April 26, 2012

On the 64th anniversary of Israel’s Independence and an evening honouring outgoing Consul General Amir Gissin, a champion for bridge-building initiatives; the Israeli Consulate recognized the Canadian Friends of the Hebrew University and other key individuals and organizations that have supported them in strengthening ties with other communities. Among the esteemed award recipients was Sidney Greenberg, Vice President of Astral Media and active philanthropist and board member to numerous committees in Toronto and internationally. The Honourable Joe Oliver, Minister of Natural Resources was present representing the Federal government on this occasion.
