The Rothberg International School - Undergraduate Programs

The Rothberg International School (RIS) serves some 4,000 students annually and offers a variety of academic programs with a large selection of courses in English, Spanish, French, Russian and Hebrew. The School caters to undergraduate and graduate students and new immigrants, and provides general admission and evaluation services to students with qualifications from abroad who apply to the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Film Jerusalem

Film Jerusalem, a unique program initiated by The Sam Spiegel Film and Television School, Jerusalem and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Rothberg International School (RIS), combines professional training in film production, academic study and exposure to Israel’s challenging social, historical and cultural environment. The program offers advanced study in the theoretical and practical aspects of documentary filmmaking, and students carry out their own productions under the guidance of Sam Spiegel's top professional staff. Journalism and The Media in Contemporary Israel

This stimulating new spring semester program will explore the role of journalism and the media from both domestic Israeli and international perspectives. As a core component of the program, the students will meet with Israeli and foreign journalists who will share their experience and knowledge. Participants will delve into central issues related to the fields of journalism and the media in Israel, as well as benefit from the country’s unique role as a magnet attracting foreign journalists. A media internship will provide a unique opportunity to gain professional experience in the field. Electives in journalism, Israel and Middle Eastern studies, and comparative religion, as well as language instruction in Hebrew and Arabic, complement the program. Jerusalem-Galilee Engineering Program

Jerusalem-Galilee Engineers is an innovative new program offered by the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and ORT Braude College. The semester-long program, conducted in English, is designed for engineering students in their junior year of studies. Participants take accredited courses in engineering and other academic subjects.
