Prof. Oded Shoseyov, Ph.D., is a faculty member at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem’s Faculty of Agriculture, Food, and Environment, specializing in plant molecular biology, protein engineering, and nano-biotechnology. He has authored/co-authored over 350 scientific publications and is the inventor/co-inventor of over 100 patents. In 2016, Shoseyov gave a TED talk titled “How we’re harnessing nature’s hidden superpowers,” which garnered more than 1.8 million views and was translated into 22 languages. Prof. Shoseyov received the Outstanding Scientist Polak Award in 2002, the 1999 and 2010 Kaye Award for Innovative and Applied Research, the 2012 Israel Prime Minister Citation for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, the 2018 Presidential Award, and the 2024 Landau Award for Biotechnology. Shoseyov is the scientific founder of 20 companies.
