Reflections on My Time at Hebrew University
By Peter Brodsky, Calgary, Alberta
My experience in the One Year Program at Hebrew U in 1985 was a positive, life- changing time. Exploring Israel over the course of a year resulted in new friendships and experiences for me that continue to resonate to this day, both professionally and personally. On a return trip to Israel for business nearly 25 years later, I made a point of visiting HU’s Har Hatzofim campus and, in an afternoon, rediscovered a place that has had an incredible impact on my life.
I credit Canadian Friends of the Hebrew University, B’Nai Brith Canada and my wonderful family and community for the support that made it possible for me to attend Hebrew U. Through my career in academia and government service, I have attempted to inspire others to reach out for exceptional opportunities like those made available to me that year in Jerusalem.
Mazel Tov on 100+ years for an exceptional institution.
